Hard to believe it was a month and half ago, but here's where I left off with the nursery dresser. I had purchased the dresser and some new drawer pulls and was just waiting for it to miraculously put itself together.
It turns out that I underestimated Ed's handiness and patience for IKEA construction because over the course of Christmas weekend he assembled the entire thing.
And now, the finished product:
I am THRILLED with how it turned out! The drawer pulls give so much character to what is a practical, but unremarkable, dresser on its own.
And they're actually quite helpful for organization. There is a clearly marked place for everything, a feature that is highly valued in this house.
Using the font "Traveling Typewriter," I created labels in Microsoft Word. The template is saved on my computer so I can update as necessary when Eddie's clothing and diapering needs change.
Those drawers now sit filled with tiny washed and folded pieces of baby paraphernalia just waiting for their owner to arrive.

I've considered that dresser (and/or the chest) for our bedroom for a LONG while now and I seriously might have to take the plunge and do it up with the same exact handles. Completely changes the look!!
Looks great! And so inventive!
I love it! We have the matching bed, so this inspires me to get this dresser.
P.S. Thanks for the comment on my blog! I've been a big fan of yours for a while. Good luck with little Eddie!
The dresser looks really great! And those handles are functional and have character all at the same time.
Perfection!
LOVE!
Hi T-
Congrats on your pregnancy! I am resurfacing into the blogosphere. I too like the dresser. One idea for the other bloggers is to use the pulls you chose for just the smaller drawers (technically these label pulls are meant one per drawer) then go with another but complimentary handle for the wider drawers.
