Hair and makeup? Dress and veil? Done and done. It was 1:30 and time for me to meet Ed at Olive Park, near Ohio Street Beach.
The plan was to put me in the middle of a long, tree-lined path and then have Ed walk up from behind. It felt like I stood there forever. I kept asking our photographers if they could see Ed yet. Strange how giddy and nervous I felt - only comparable to when I would wait for Ed to pick me up before our first few dates.
After an eternity of trying to stand tall and pretty and not peek over my shoulder, I felt his hand on my arm. And we just laughed.
Ahh, to know what we were talking about in this one. Looks serious. I can pretty much guarantee it wasn't.
Because we planned from the beginning to have a late evening wedding, there was really no other option than to see each other and take photos before the ceremony. I was relieved the decision was essentially made for me because I probably would have debated it 8 ways to Sunday. Looking back, I can't imagine not having this time alone with Ed to relax and smooch a little before the real craziness began.

You look beautiful! That's very sweet, and a very good point. It would have been nice to have an hour alone with the beau...
