The first several hours spent getting ready in the morning were easy and relaxed. By the time I was putting the dress on and getting my hair and makeup touched up, the room was buzzing with excitement and nervous energy. I felt like I was surrounded by an entourage. Turns out I was:
Thumbs up for falsies, apparently. Because that's what Ellen was working on down there. Only a handful of people are on my "OK to touch my boob" list. A sister, of course, is one of them. Unfortunately, the falsies were a minor fail - I pulled them out after an hour and they stayed in Ed's jacket pocket for the rest of the night.
Nicky has been doing my hair since I moved to Chicago in 2003. We have serious heart-to-hearts while she makes me blonde. In fact, she was very happy to finally meet all the women in my life who I've talked about over the past 7 years. I love this photo because I'm 99% sure we were having an intense discussion about my bangs.
Simultaneous thoughts: Whoa, am I really putting on a veil right now? and There's a camera in your face, look cool.
Next up: seeing Ed for the first time.

Ha ha, I love that last picture. It's so awkward to be photographed up close and personal, and your face describes it all.
So Funny T! This reminds me of the floating cutlet on last week's episode of Jersey Shore (guilty pleasure...) so this and the tanning bed? ha- just kidding. A girl needs to do what a girl needs to do!
